Jordan Breyon William Fields, born on January 14, 2000, in Washington, DC, was in DC where he spent most of his younger years before moving up to Mount Vernon in 2015 with his dad to attend high school. A car enthusiast from age 7, Jordan had developed an innate skill of identifying a car’s make, model, and year at a single glance. Jordan comes from a large family as the 11th of 16 children. During his time in Mount Vernon, Jordan has excelled both personally and educationally. While serving as a big brother to his 5 younger siblings, Jordan worked alongside his father learning, studying, and preparing himself for a career in technology.

Through Y-COP, Paul and his sister Olivia had a safe place to grow and learn. Playing basketball on Saturdays, going on college tours, volunteering at the local soup kitchen, and helping the less fortunate are a few examples of where he learned the value of community. Over this time, Paul has gotten support from both his immediate family and his Y-COP family. He learned to shape himself into the person he is today: humble, hard-working, focused, and caring. His current mission is that he hopes to inspire the next generation at Y-COP to follow his example by working hard and helping others along the way.

Troy Hupstead has been a member of the Mount Vernon community for as long as he can remember. With the support of his peers and his mentor, Mr. Wilson, Troy thrived in his basketball life as well as his personal development throughout his time at Y-COP. His dedication to his craft and teammates was only matched by the appreciation he had for his family and community. Even after graduating from Mount Vernon High School, he is still trailblazing a path for himself through Texas into new opportunities.
