After School Program

Attention

Registration for the 2025-2026 school year is full.

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year!

The Y-COP After School Program is licensed by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and the Childcare Council of Westchester. We provide academic enrichment, transportation from Mount Vernon City School District schools to our location, snacks, dinner, recreation, cultural awareness, and social skills development for students aged 5 to 13. We operate from 3:00 to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday, during the school year. All students must have an after-school registration form, an updated physical and immunization record on file, a completed transportation form if being transported, and parents must attend at least three parent meetings throughout the school year as part of our parent participation initiative.

The After School Program, and all other Y-COP programs, integrates academic enrichment, recreation, social skill development, and cultural awareness to achieve diversity and inclusion. Children complete their homework and have a hot, nutritious meal giving working parents two fewer things to worry about when they pick up their children and go home. We offer interactive discussions led by professionals in various fields, including education, arts, law enforcement, the military, and more.
