We met up on February 9th to introduce the kids to the Mount Vernon VCU so they could explain their role in keeping Mount Vernon safe. On February 25th, our Y-COP Family showed out to give support at the 5th Annual Black History Purple Winter Ball. When Ms. Donna Brown went up to receive her award, she gave a heartfelt speech about what it means to do right for your community. The night ended for her with a standing ovation, and we don’t think even that expresses how proud we are of her achievements.
